Joran Graham<\/strong> allowed only two hits and struck out 11 batters as the Twins blanked the Orleans Rebels 7-0 in a winner take all championship game in Micksburg.<\/p>\n\n\n\nIn front of a large crowd at the Micksburg ball diamond, the Twins jumped out to an early lead and cruised to a victory behind the pitching of Graham who went the distance, again showing why he is the best pitcher in the league.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Graham was at his best. He dominated the strike zone, throwing hard and rarely walking a batter, keeping the Orleans batters off balance with a good mix of pitches. It wasn\u2019t a surprise. Graham just missed out on being named to Canada\u2019s national fastball team roster after a summer of playing against some of the best players in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He competed at the International Softball Congress World Championships in the United States, the Rawlings Canadian Championships in Saskatchewan and helped a Denmark team win a gold medal at the European Championships in the Czeck Republic. Back home in the tiny hamlet of Micksburg where he learned to play the game, Graham was in cruise control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
