The squads were named after a series of tryouts and national championships. From 21-23 January, the two squads will gather in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, for a training camp.&nbsp;https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Ffedmex.softbol%2Fposts%2F3039512799598377&amp;width=500&amp;show_text=false&amp;height=816&amp;appId<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mexico, currently No. 8 in the WBSC Men\u2019s Softball World Rankings, is slated to play this year in the Pan American Championships and continental qualifiers for the two World Cups: the flagship Men\u2019s Softball World Cup in New Zealand, and the inaugural U-23 Men\u2019s Softball World Cup in Argentina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nine players from the 2019 national team are included on the 20-man list announced by FMS. Mexico finished in 11<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0place in the 2019 WBSC Men\u2019s Softball World Championship played in Prague, Czech Republic, including a historic come-from-behind win over New Zealand, 5-4, in eight innings.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A total of 10 players who played for Mexico in past world championships are included on the U-23 prelim roster, including six from the Men\u2019s Softball World Championship&nbsp;2018&nbsp;and four from the U-18 Men\u2019s Softball World Cup 2020.
