Justin Schofield<\/strong> brought his “A” game to the opening game of the 2022 Men’s Canadian Championships at St. John’s NL Wednesday morning, tossing a no-hit shutouf against a strong Sooke Logger team from British Columbia, striking out 18. The game started in the very early morning (4:30am) for those of us on the West Coast. Details below, from Game Changer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Schofield Earns Victory For NS East Hants Mastodons In No-Hitter Against BC Sooke Loggers<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Justin Schofield<\/a> was brilliant on the rubber on Wednesday, as Schofield<\/a> threw a no-hitter to lead NS East Hants Mastodons<\/a> past BC Sooke Loggers<\/a> 2-0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pitching was strong on both sides. Schofield<\/a> struck out 18, while Brady Woods<\/a> sat down 12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NS East Hants Mastodons<\/a> got things started in the first inning when Travis Jones<\/a> singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Schofield<\/a> was the winning pitcher for NS East Hants Mastodons<\/a>. Schofield<\/a> surrendered zero runs on zero hits over seven innings, striking out 18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Woods<\/a> took the loss for BC Sooke Loggers<\/a>. The bulldog allowed five hits and two runs over six innings, striking out 12 and walking one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jones<\/a> went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead NS East Hants Mastodons<\/a> in hits. NS East Hants Mastodons<\/a> was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Patrick Stewart<\/a> had the most chances in the field with 18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
