DC Galway Walks Away Victorious Over ON2 Toronto Batmen, 4-1<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

DC Galway<\/a>\u00a0wins contest against\u00a0ON2 Toronto Batmen<\/a>, 4-1<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DC Galway<\/a>\u00a0fired up the offense in the first inning, when\u00a0Colin Walsh<\/a>\u00a0singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sean Cleary<\/a>\u00a0took the win for\u00a0DC Galway<\/a>.\u00a0Cleary<\/a>\u00a0surrendered one run on four hits over seven innings, striking out seven and walking one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ty Sebastian<\/a>\u00a0took the loss for\u00a0ON2 Toronto Batmen<\/a>. The bulldog went one inning, allowing one run on two hits, striking out two and walking one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DC Galway<\/a>\u00a0racked up nine hits on the day.\u00a0Brad Ezekiel<\/a>,\u00a0Walsh<\/a>, and\u00a0Stephen Mullaley<\/a>\u00a0all collected multiple hits for\u00a0DC Galway<\/a>.\u00a0Mullaley<\/a>,\u00a0Walsh<\/a>, and\u00a0Ezekiel<\/a>\u00a0all had two hits to lead\u00a0DC Galway<\/a>.\u00a0DC Galway<\/a>\u00a0was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error.\u00a0Ryan Boland<\/a>\u00a0had the most chances in the field with seven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the DC Galway first inning<\/strong>, Shane Boland led off with a single to center field. He advanced to second on a fly ball to right field by Brad Ezekiel. After Ryan Boland walked, Colin Walsh stroked a two-out line drive single to left field, scoring Shane Boland for the first run of the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DC Galway added another run in the fourth when Steve Mullaley led off with a single, advanced to second on a sacrifice by Kyle Ezekiel. Mullaley advanced to third on a wild pitch, then scored on an infield single to second by Matthieu Roy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two more runs in the DC Galway fourth gave the host team a commanding 4-0 lead as the game headed into the late innings, with pitcher Sean Cleary tossing a stellar game, scattering 4 hits while striking out 7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ryan Boland opened the DC Galway fifth inning with a single, followed by a hard single to center by Colin Walsh, putting runners at second and third on the throw. After pinch runner Dalton scored on a wild pitch, a line drive singled by Jason Hill plated Walsh for the second run of the inning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ON Toronto avoided the shutout when Ty Sebastian hit a solo home run to lead off the Toronto sixth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
