Evans, Raemaki and Enoka First Team All-World Selections, Evans MVP<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Three Black Sox stalwarts were named on all-star squads after winning back-to-back major men\u2019s softball titles in the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Black Sox captain Cole Evans<\/strong>, infielder Jerome Raemaki <\/strong>and outfielder Ben Enoka<\/strong> made the All-World First Team selection after helping the New York Gremlins win the International Softball Congress (ISC) tournament in Wisconsin last weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ISC championship is generally regarded as the best club softball tournament in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Evans, a shortstop, was named tournament MVP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Raemaki drove a two-run home run in the 6-1 ISC grand final win over Toronto\u2019s Bear Creek Express \u2013 A team stacked with internationals from Canada\u2019s silver medal World Cup squad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Evans also homered and Enoka recorded a RBI (run batted in).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Black Sox beat the Czech Republic 3-1 after a big home by Ben Enoka at his sixth World Cup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Gremlins had earlier won the ASA (Amateur Softball Association) title at a tournament in Minnesota.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Evans and Enoka – the team\u2019s top batter with a .636 average – were ASA First Team All Americans selections alongside ex-Black Sox catcher Cory Timu, playing for Minnesota\u2019s LC Ostrander Norsemen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Raemaki was named on the second team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was the Gremlins\u2019 third consecutive ASA title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
