The event, which will award five spots to the World Cup, will take place in Sincelejo, Colombia, from 7 to 13 April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the WBSC Men’s Softball World Cup Americas qualifier<\/a><\/strong> fast approaching, No. 10 Cuba and No. 19 Colombia unveiled their preliminary roster for the continental championship, which will award five spots in the World Cup. The event will be held in Sincelejo, Colombia, from 7 to 13 April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tournament is a qualifier for the WBSC Men’s Softball World Cup, which will start later this year with the group stage. Group A<\/a><\/strong> will be hosted in Hermosillo, Mexico, from 12 to 16 June; Group B<\/a><\/strong> is scheduled from 10 to 14 July in Prince Albert, Canada; and Group C<\/a><\/strong> will be played in Oklahoma City, USA, from 17 to 21 September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cuba<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A total of 29 players were named to Cuba’s Men’s National Softball Team preliminary roster. The list is made up of four catchers, nine infielders, seven outfielders and nine pitchers, including veterans Alain Roman and Glubuel Plutin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Cuba has participated in three World Cups, including the last two in a row. They debuted in 1988 with a fourth-place finish, and then came back in 2019 and 2022, ending in 10th and fifth place respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Colombia<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Colombia has also named 29 players to participate in their first training camp from 23-25 February in Cartagena, Colombia. The team will host the Pan American Championship in Sincelejo, aiming to qualify for their second WBSC Men’s Softball World Cup.
