for WBSC Men&#8217;s World Cup 2024-2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The 2024-2025 WBSC Men&#8217;s Softball World Cup follows a (new) two-stage format:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Group Stage (2024)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Group Stage will feature 18 teams divided into 3 groups of 6 teams each.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The groups will be played in different locations: Group A in Hermosillo, Mexico (June 12-16), Group B in Prince Albert, Canada (July 10-14), and Group C in Oklahoma City, USA (September 17-21).<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wbsc.org\/en\/events\/2025-xviii-mens-softball-world-cup-finals\/news\/page\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/2025_Men%27s_Softball_World_Cup\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The top 2 teams from each group (6 teams total) will advance to the Finals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Finals (2025)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Finals will be held in Prince Albert, Canada from July 8-13, 2025.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wbsc.org\/en\/events\/2025-xviii-mens-softball-world-cup-finals\/news\/page\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/asiasoftball.com\/2023\/11\/24\/dates-announced-for-wbsc-mens-softball-world-cup-group-and-finals-in-canada\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In addition to the 6 teams that advanced from the Group Stage, 2 wildcard teams will also participate, making it an 8-team tournament.<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/2025_Men%27s_Softball_World_Cup\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Finals will determine the overall champion of the 2024-2025 WBSC Men&#8217;s Softball World Cup.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wbsc.org\/en\/events\/2025-xviii-mens-softball-world-cup-finals\/news\/page\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/2025_Men%27s_Softball_World_Cup\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><a Qualifier<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 team from the African Qualifier<a href=\"https:\/\/www.insidethegames.biz\/articles\/1143745\/groups-announced-men-softball-world-cup\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The 10 teams that had already qualified based on their performance at the previous World Cup or through special invitations were pre-seeded into the groups.<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.insidethegames.biz\/articles\/1143745\/groups-announced-men-softball-world-cup\"><\/a>&nbsp;The remaining teams qualified through the African Qualifier (providing 2 teams) and the Americas Qualifier (providing 5 teams).<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.insidethegames.biz\/articles\/1143745\/groups-announced-men-softball-world-cup\"><\/a><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"
