The U.S. offense exploded for 13 hits, including home runs by H. Flippen and M. Brady, a triple by D. Mulipola, and a double by A. Lorenz, scoring early and often. The Netherlands managed just one run on a D. Charles single, hampered by two errors. U.S. pitchers M. Faraimo and K.
