\nThe North Bay Sports Hall of Fame does not induct teams, but from time to time, various teams are recognized and placed on the honoured teams list.<\/p>\n

This year, the Hall of Fame is honouring the 1985 and 1986 Fraser Tavern men’s fastball teams which won consecutive Ontario Amateur Softball Association intermediate ‘AA’ championships.<\/p>\n

The last time North Bay had won back-to-back men’s provincial titles was from 1953 to 1955 in the intermediate ‘A’ category.<\/p>\n

Fraser Tavern won the 1985 crown in a tournament in Peterborough and the following year, defended the championship on home ground in North Bay. Click here for the complete story at the North Bay Nugget<\/a>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nThe Fraser Tavern’s roster<\/strong> during the two years included pitchers Ron (Ike) Bean, Brian Watters and Mark Schledewitz; Sandro Orlando, Sam Jackson, Dan Beaudry, Peter Topolie, Marco Cardoni, Carmen Anello, Bill Evans, Dave Saad, Gerry Cantin, Ron Hollick, Kevin Dominico, Larry Tougas, Don Grierson, Lindsay McIvor and Jean Marc Raymond.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
