This
year's tournament will be a 14 team round-robin (RR) tournament. Attached is the tournament schedule. Please note that all teams will advance to a
single-elimination Championship Round on
Just
a reminder, the use of a Titanium bat in the tournament will not be
allowed. I have so advised the
Portland Metro Umpires Association.

10. A.S.A. rules apply (except where stated within this profile or
attached ground rules).
11. Balls will be provided by the tournament committee for each
game. The Worth K-Master 120 (Fastpitch Extra .47 ) ball
will be used.
12. Game times are Pacific Daylight Time. A grace period of 15 minutes will be allowed
before game is forfeited for failure to take the field.
13. Batting orders are to be submitted by team managers to the press
box 15 minutes prior to scheduled starting time. For games being broadcast live on the
internet, we request batting orders not less than 30 minutes prior to scheduled starting time
14. There will be no
infield practice allowed before any games.
15. In an effort to keep the games/tournament on schedule, pitchers
will be allowed 5 warm-up pitches to begin the game, but only 3 pitches in
between innings.
16. Team managers are responsible for pickup players having approved
releases from their originating teams.
17.
The ASA pitching rule requiring both feet on the pitching rubber WILL NOT be
used in this tournament.
18. An eight (8)-run rule will apply after five innings; otherwise all
games will be seven innings or until completion in case of a tie after seven
innings.
19. The following criteria will be used in seeding the teams in the
championship round:

record
b. head
to head competition
c. fewest
runs allowed d. runs
scored e. coin
flip
20. Home team will be determined by the flip of a coin prior to each
game at the time batting orders are submitted.

21. Titanium bats will not
be allowed in the tournament.
22. Protests and Ejections:
When a protest is made, play will be halted and the two team
managers concerned, along with the umpires, will meet the tournament director
or assistant director. The specific rule
interpretation and umpire decision being protested will be presented to the
director. A ruling will be made at that
time by the director. This ruling will
be final with regard to the tournament.
In the interest of inspiring good sportsmanship, it is
required that only the managers and/or captains address the umpires for
protests, etc. The tournament umpires
are members of the Amateur Softball Officials Association. Any team member that causes undue delay of
the game by protesting or arguing with the umpire will be removed from the
game. Team members removed from a game
will automatically be disqualified from participation with his team for the
next tournament game unless prior approval is received from the tournament
director. However, any team member who
physically assaults an umpire or tournament official is automatically
disqualified for the remainder of the tournament.
23. Any player who conducts himself in an unsportsmanlike manner on
or off the playing field, or causes any incident or action unfavorable to the
tournament may be removed by the tournament director.
24. Complete uniforms are required for all players and base
coaches. Players, coaches, managers,
team trainer, team statistician and batboy are the only ones allowed in the
dugouts.
25. No entry fee refunds will be made unless the tournament is rained
out completely.
26. In any eventuality not covered above, the decision of the
tournament director or assistant director shall prevail.
