At the Softball Australia Directors meeting on 24 May, Dennis Cullen was unanimously elected as Chairman of the Softball Australia Board.
After many years of service on the Softball Queensland Board (including a number of years as President) Dennis joined the Softball Australia Board in 2009. Amongst his talents as a leader, he has brought strong skills in a range of areas, particularly in governance, risk management and finance.
Dennis hails from a family with a long Softball history – his mother recently receiving an OAM for her services to the game. Dennis commenced as a club coach in 1975 and represented Queensland at the inaugural men’s national event in 1983. He has coached the Queensland men’s team in the National Fastpitch League and at association and club level for more than 35 years.
