Magers, Arndt help lift JRW to title

YAKIMA, Wash. — Tom Magers hit a grand slam in the first inning and that was plenty to back pitcher Shayne Arndt as JRW & Associates repeated as Yakima men’s fastpitch champions with a 10-2 victory over Jason Davis Insurance on Wednesday at Kiwanis Park.
Arndt pitched a complete game with 10 strikeouts, no walks and no earned runs.
Tim Roinestad added a two-run homer in the sixth inning to JRW’s 13-hit offense.
