SOUTH BEND, Ind. — The Midland Explorers men’s fastpitch team finished third at the ASA National Tournament after going 3-1 on Saturday.
The Explorers beat Stockpack (Ohio) 6-2, beat the Black Knights (N.D.) 3-2 in nine innings, beat the Minnesota Angels 7-1, and bowed out with a 7-5 loss to Chicago/New York.
Editor’s note: The Explorers had 7 players named to the ASA Mens Major Fastpitch All-American teams. Steve Horning, Mark Arsenault and Grant Patterson to the 1st team and Dale Levy, Rowan Lam, Dan Loney and Mike Joseph to the 2nd team.
