Maccabi USA will host a Dave Blackburn Tribute on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 12 o’clock noon at Little Lake Park in Santa Fe Springs California, following the 10:30 a.m. slate of games for the SCIFL, which concludes league play Saturday. The date also marks the retirement of longtime SCIFL commissioner Robert Hernandez.

The tribute will feature a number of speakers, honoring Dave Blackburn for his contributions to the game, including his work as a pioneer of live audio and video streaming broadcasts of men’s fastpitch games.
Dave Blackburn was inducted into the ISC Hall Of Fame in 2011, and passed away in May 2014.
The tribute ceremony will be live audio streamed on Ballpark Radio, whose founding was inspired by Dave Blackburn. A game featuring Dave’s former team, Maccabi USA will also be live (audio) streamed on Ballpark Radio at 12:30 PM Saturday.
All fastpitch players, fans and friends of Dave are invited to attend.
