A great day by Tony Mancha wasn’t enough to carry USA Men’s National Team to a win on Friday, as USA Men’s National Team fell to Mexico 2-1 at Ing. Nafaldo Cargnel Field in 11 innings.
Mancha worked out of 22 tough situations for USA Men’s National Team. He pitched 10 innings and allowed one earned run on three hits. Mancha faced his most difficult moment in the eighth inning.
Eduardo Escobedo got the win for Mexico. He allowed one run over 11 innings. He struck out 11, walked three and surrendered four hits.
Mancha took the loss for USA Men’s National Team.
Mexico pushed one run across in the fourth inning to start the scoring. Mexico scored on an RBI single by Ruben Delgadillo.
In the fifth inning, USA Men’s National Team pushed across its only run of the day on an RBI single by Pat Sagdal.
Mexico went up for good in the eleventh, scoring one run on two singles.
