The World Series All Stars Exhibition Fastpitch Softball Match will be held at the Victoria Point Sharks Sporting Club this Saturday between the World Series All Stars and the South East Queensland Invitational team.
The exhibition match will feature all four local Aussie Steelers representatives who will competie at the upcoming International Softball Federation’s 14th Men’s World Championship in June and July in Saskatoon, Canada. The local Steelers will line up with former World Championship representatives from Great Britain and New Zealand to come together for the World Series All Stars team.
In an innovative approach the South East Queensland Invitational team will bring together the region’s best players from a variety of associations including Redcliffe, Toowoomba and Redlands to give the All Stars a run for their money.
The event caters for everyone, starting with a free Aussie Steelers Coaching Clinic at 3pm where all juniors can attend, followed by the entertaining Fastpitch Skills Challenges at 4.45pm (including home run and fastest pitch contest) before the exhibition match at 6.30pm.
The Aussie Steelers won the World Championships in 2009 and placed third in 2013.
