An ace performance by Josh Johnson hoisted USA Men’s National Team to a 6-0 win in seven innings over Paligro Gremlins on Saturday at St Gervais, Quebec.
USA Men’s National Team’s Johnson kept Peligro Gremlins off the scoreboard for all seven innings he was in the circle. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on four hits while ringing up nine.
Six runs in the first three innings helped USA Men’s National Team blow out Peligro Gremlins. A three-run home run by Derrick Zechman in the first inning helped USA Men’s National Team put some runs on the board early.
Zechman racked up three RBIs on two hits for USA Men’s National Team.
Matt Ratliff was the game’s losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked five and struck out five.
USA Men’s National Team piled on three more runs in the bottom of the third. Frank DeGroat Jr. kicked things off with a triple, scoring Matt Palazzo and Pat Sagdal. That was followed up by Nick Mullins’s single, scoring DeGroat Jr.
