Scarborough falls 13-6 at the hands of USA Men’s National Team
USA Men’s National Team beat Scarborough on Sunday 13-6 in five innings.
USA Men’s National Team scored three runs in the fifth on USA Men’s National Team scored in the fifth on a passed ball, a passed ball, a two-run double by Chase Turner, and a two-run double by Turner.
USA Men’s National Team hit four home runs in the win. Home runs for USA Men’s National Team came when Chris Miljavic homered in the first inning, Matt Palazzo homered in the first inning, Pat Sagdal homered in the second inning, and Frank DeGroat Jr. homered in the fourth inning.
DeGroat Jr. racked up three RBIs on one hit for USA Men’s National Team. He homered in the fourth inning.
Gerald Muizelaar got the win for USA Men’s National Team despite allowing five runs over three innings. He struck out five, walked one and surrendered seven hits.
USA Men’s National Team easily handled Scarborough pitching as six hitters combined for eight hits, 12 RBIs and eight runs scored.
Andy Skelton couldn’t get it done in the circle for Scarborough, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
USA Men’s National Team closer Josh Johnson put away the final six outs to record the save.
USA Men’s National Team stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the first, scoring two runs on two solo blasts.
Three runs in the top of the third helped Scarborough close its deficit to 4-3. A three-run double by Ben Wideman triggered Scarborough’s comeback. Finally, Muizelaar got Jake Taylor to strike out to end the threat.
USA Men’s National Team quickly matched Scarborough’s strong inning with a three-run inning of its own in the third. USA Men’s National Team scored on a three-run triple by Kris Bogach.
After pushing across two runs in the top of the fourth, Scarborough faced just a 7-5 deficit. An RBI single by Wideman and an RBI double by Skelton set off Scarborough rally.
It didn’t take long for USA Men’s National Team to answer as it scored three runs of its own in the fourth. USA Men’s National Team scored on a three-run home run by DeGroat Jr.
