First pitch of the 2015 WBSC Men’s Softball World Championship just a day away, as teams and fans make their final preparation here in Saskatoon. We’ll be on hand for the duration of the tournament, as part of the Ballpark Broadcasting team, which includes Lance Winn, Kyle Smith, Joe Todd and Blair Setford. (Last summer’s Whitehorse broadcast team for the ISF Jrs. plus Blair Setford who was unable to make that trip.) So this year, the (full) band really is back together again. As he did last summer, Lance Winn will be the executive producer and host of special daily recaps and other special programming. Watch the “Ballpark Central” page at the Ballpark Broadcasting website for more info.
Fans may watch every pitch of every game, thanks to the commitment of the tournament hosts, and the hard work of Choyal Brown and his production team from SportsCanada.tv. The games are available on pay per view, details here. You don’t want to miss this one.
Most (but not all) of the games will include play-by-play and color commentary of the Ballpark Broadcasting team. (We’ll be doing 50+ of the 65 games) Consult the Ballpark Broadcasting website for specifics.
Teams have been getting settled in this week, and getting a few exhibition games under their belts in preparation for the 10 day event that starts tomorrow at 10:00 a.m.
