Quad Cities – The International Softball Congress (ISC) is excited to celebrate its Platinum Anniversary in 2016 by holding the 70th Annual ISC Men’s Fastball World Tournament in Quad Cities. Games begin on Saturday, August 13, and the championship is Saturday, August 20.
The ISC World Tournament returns to the Milt Hand Softball Complex, at the Green Valley Sports Complex in Moline, Illinois. The local area host teams are the Lamplighters from Walcott, Iowa, and Dolan & Murphy from Aurora, Illinois.
Fans are encouraged to go to the recently launched tournament website at www.iscquadcities.com for ticket prices, hotel information, camping information, and how to volunteer. Current tournament-specific news can be found at www.iscfastpitch.org.
“Our goal is to fill the Milt Hand Softball Complex with as many fans as possible to create an exciting atmosphere for the World Tournament Teams,” says Lynn Hunt, Quad Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau Vice-President of Sales. A Tournament Pass that is good for all of the 2016 games is only $30. Tournament passes and day passes will be available to purchase at the gate.
The Quad Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau (QCCVB) and Sports Commission will be looking for volunteers to keep score, announce games, work admission gates and beer tents, shuttle fans, and help with visitor information. Visit www.iscquadcities.com to email with your interest. Scheduling of volunteers will begin late May.
