Canada’s Pat Burns bests Argentina’s Juan Potoliccio in Final
J&B Painting of Agoura Hills California topped the South Hill Giants 3-0, in the championship game of the Kelowna Days Tournament, at Kelowna, British Colombia, behind the 10 strikeout, five hit shutout performance of winning pitcher Pat Burns who picked up the win over Juan Potoliccio. Another of the world’s top pitchers,Tony Mancha provided the offense for J&B, driving in 2 of the 3 runs.
The South Hill Giants reached the championship game with a 3-1 win over Portland Bartel Farms, with Juan Potoliccio picking up the win, behind a 4 hit, nine strikeout performance. Brian Abrey homered, and drove in two of the three runs for the Giants. Ryan Daly homered for Portland’s lone run.
J&B Painting cruised into the finals with an easy 6-0 win over the Sooke Loggers. Tony Mancha tossed a 3 hit shutout, striking out 8. Mark Arando homered for J&B.
