A magnificent effort by Tyler Dudley carried Cambridge Mass A1 Bombers to a 4-3 win in seven innings over Hill United Chiefs on Sunday at Sunset Lower.
Tyler Dudley hit two home runs for Cambridge Mass A1 Bombers. Tyler Dudley went 2-3 in the game with three RBIs and two runs scored. Tyler Dudley homered in the fourth and sixth innings.
Tyler Dudley pushed Cambridge Mass A1 Bombers ahead, in the sixth inning, and the lead lasted until the final out. With the score tied at two, Tyler Dudley came to the plate and homered, plating Al Martin.
Cambridge Mass A1 Bombers hit three home runs in the win. Additional home runs for Cambridge Mass A1 Bombers came when Mike Hoadley homered in the third inning and Tyler Dudley homered in the fourth and sixth innings.
Cambridge Mass A1 Bombers held off Hill United Chiefs, as Hill United Chiefs was unable to overcome a two-run sixth inning deficit.
Hill United Chiefs scored one run in the seventh on a sacrifice fly by Bradley Ezekial. Still, Hill United Chiefs couldn’t catch Cambridge Mass A1 Bombers.
Devon McCuellough recorded the win for Cambridge Mass A1 Bombers. He allowed three runs over seven innings. He struck out eight, walked six and surrendered four hits.
Adam Folkard took the loss, walking two, striking out 10, and allowing four runs.
Hill United Chiefs jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. Nicolas Carrill singled to ignite Hill United Chiefs’ offense.
Cambridge Mass A1 Bombers scored one run in the third inning, and then followed it up with one more in the fourth. In the third, Cambridge Mass A1 Bombers scored on a solo home run by Mike Hoadley.
