Runs At A Premium As NY Gremlins Defeats JB Bombers
Both teams were strong on the mound Thursday, but NY Gremlins defeated JB Bombers 3-2. Roman Godoy allowed just nine hits to JB Bombers.
NY Gremlins grabbed an early lead. NY Gremlins took the lead on a single in the first inning.
NY Gremlins took an early lead in the first inning. With two outs in the first inning Blair Ezekieldrove in two runs when he singled.
Roman Godoy earned the win for NY Gremlins. He threw seven innings, giving up two runs, nine hits, and striking out nine. Devon McCullough took the loss for JB Bombers. He went six innings, allowing three runs, six hits, and striking out nine.
NY Gremlins had six hits in the game. Ezekiel and Zenon Winters each collected multiple hits for NY Gremlins. Winters and Ezekiel all had two hits to lead NY Gremlins.
JB Bombers collected nine hits. Blake Hunter and Tyler Dudley each collected multiple hits for JB Bombers. Hunter led JB Bombers with three hits in three at bats. JB Bombers was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Freddy Carmona had the most chances in the field with seven.

Blair Ezekiel of the Gremlins and Tyler Dudley of J&B each drove in two runs. Ezekiel’s two RBI came in the first inning, and staked the Gremlins to a lead which they would not surrender. Twice, RBI hits by Tyler Dudley (HR in the 2nd, RBI hit in the 5th) cut the lead to one, but J&B was unable to get to Godoy or tie the game.
