UPDATE from Dominican Republic
We, Team Canada have been told hurricane Maria will not have too bad of an impact on DR; that of course has yet to be determined !,
all games Thursday are canceled for sure .
We have no idea what the aftermath might be after Maria passes by and if tournament can continue.
However the tournament organizing committee has issued a statement that any Team that chooses to leave will forfeit any remaining games as well as NOT be eligible for 2019 Pan Am Games ! As of right now we are staying but that could change .
Softball Canada has been very supportive and in continuous contact with us regarding situation and has our safety as a priority first and foremost.
I will keep you all updated to say it is frustrating is an understatement ! We play Panama and Guatemala tonight all we can do is continue to prepare to play the games right now.
