HILL UNITED CHIEFS’s Two Pitchers Combine In No-Hitter To Defeat MIDLAND
HILL UNITED CHIEFS‘s two pitchers didn’t allow a single hit, as HILL UNITED CHIEFS defeated MIDLAND 13-0 on Friday. NICHOLAS PATRICK struck out Matt Dickey to get the last out of the game.
SHANE BOLAND led HILL UNITED CHIEFS to victory by driving in four runs. BOLAND went 2-for-3 at the plate. BOLAND drove in runs on a home run in the second and a single in the fifth.
In the first inning, HILL UNITED CHIEFS got their offense started when BRUNO MOTRONI homered on a 3-2 count, scoring three runs.
HILL UNITED CHIEFS put up seven runs in the fifth inning. HILL UNITED CHIEFS‘s offense in the inning came from singles by PIPILO (EDGAR) LOPEZ and BOLAND, a sac fly by THOMAS ENOKA, and a home run by NICK SHAILES.
PABLO MIGLIAVACCA took the win for HILL UNITED CHIEFS. The hurler went four innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits and striking out eight. PATRICK threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Kyle Linton took the loss for MIDLAND. The hurler surrendered six runs on four hits over three innings, striking out three.

MIDLAND didn’t commit a single error in the field. Freddie Bradford had the most chances in the field with seven.

Midland’s record in the tournament falls to 1-1, as the Explorers topped Dolan & Murphy on opening night, 8-1. The Chiefs advance to play again tonight, at 8pm EDT/5pm PDT against the AWP Lumberjacks, who defeated the AHI Reapers Thursday night, 4-1.
The winner of the Hill United-AWP Lumberjacks will advance to face the winner of the other 8pmEDT/5pm PDT game, Circle Tap vs. Kitchener Hallman Twins, Saturday at 2pm EDT/11am PDT.
