Editor’s Note: Bear Creek prevailed in their first game, with a 4-2 win over the BC Surrey Rebels. Quintin Bruce homered twice, in the third and seventh inning. Bear Creek Pitcher Riley Manion struck out 10, allowing just four hits, in 4 1/3 innings worked. Kirk Santala threw 2 2/3 innings of shutout relief for the Express. Surrey’s Reilly Singel took the loss, giving up just three hits and two earned runs.
