Tour de France Stage 10 – Simon Yates Claims Victory, Ben Healy Takes Yellow Jersey
On Stage 10 of the 2025 Tour de France, Simon Yates (Visma-Lease a Bike) secured a stunning solo victory at Le Mont-Dore Puy de Sancy, attacking at the base of the final climb to claim his first Tour stage win since 2019. The 165.3km stage from Ennezat saw a large breakaway of 29 riders form early, whittled down to an elite group over eight categorized climbs.
Yates outpaced Thymen Arensman (Ineos Grenadiers), who finished second, while Ben Healy (EF Education-EasyPost) took third and seized the yellow jersey from Tadej PogaCar (UAE Team Emirates-XRG), who finished over four minutes back.
The stage featured intense General Classification (GC) battles, with PogaCar and Jonas Vingegaard (Visma-Lease a Bike) trading attacks on the final climbs, though they gained only six seconds on rivals like Remco Evenepoel (Soudal-QuickStep). Healy now leads the GC by 29 seconds over PogaCar, with Evenepoel and Vingegaard trailing further.
The breakaway’s success and Yates’ tactical move highlighted a dramatic day, setting the stage for a thrilling race as the Tour heads into its first rest day.

Mathieu van der Poel’s 2025 Tour de France
Mathieu van der Poel’s 2025 Tour de France will be simply memorable… Many will see just one stage win, a few days in yellow, and that will be it, but it’s so much more than that and it’s just the first week.
In stage 1, he made the split in the wind, just to make an excellent leadout for Jasper Philipsen winning the stage and yellow.
He was then the only one beating uphill Tadej Poga?ar and winning in stage 2. Then he wore yellow, lost it in the time trial, but in the very next day, he attacked and attacked, spent it all on the road just to get it back by one second. Tired, but yesterday he also made a perfect leadout for another sprinter Groves.
And now today, attacking from Km 0 with Rickaert, trying an unthinkable breakaway in a pure flat stage. He didn’t make it, but he made Jonas Rickaert’s dream come true as he stood on the Tour de France podium for the combativity award. And he made this Sunday’s boring Tour stage unforgettable.
They didn’t win today, but they won our hearts. And now I have realized again why I so much love this team. Chapeau guys. I am and we are so proud ?? #TDF2025
