The game is just underway at press time, with Paul Koert toeing the rubber for the USA and Rich Haldane for Great Britain.

The USA lost their first game to New Zealand, but has won four straight.
Great Britain lost their first two, to the Philippines and New Zealand, but has won three in a row, including an upset win over Japan to pull to within one game of the USA.

If the USA wins, they would clinch 2nd place within Pool A, and grab a “double life” for the playoff round, along with New Zealand.

If Great Britain wins, they could wind up in sole possession of second place, with three other teams (likely) tied for third, with 4-3 records. (assuming GB and USA win their games tomorrow and New Zealand beats Japan).

1. New Zealand is 6-0
2. USA is 4-1
3. Japan is 4-2
4. Great Britain is 3-2
5. The Philippines are 3-3

Only four teams qualify for the playoffs.
