ISF men’s senior head coach for Argentina will be in Sudan Sudan to teach softball for three days, from 16 to 18 April. Coach Sabate, will be giving instruction Argentina as part of society Olympafrica ISF, as announced at the end of 2009.

In preparation for the course, the ISF has sent two “starter kits” to Sudan. The boxes contain softball bats, balls, gloves, helmets and equipment for the catcher to be used by participants. Participants will be teachers, and the activity happen in indoor and outdoor facilities of Sahafa Olympafrica Centre.

Editor’s note: Eduardo Sabate is known to many of us in North America as the father of Argentine pitcher Francisco “Sisko” Sabate. Eduardo Sabate was the head coach for the 2008 ISF Argentine Jr. team which traveled to Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada for the 2008 ISF Jr. World Championships. His team turned in a game ending triple play in their first-ever win over New Zealand. Coach Sabate has moved up to coach the Argentine senior men’s team, which will compete in the 2013 ISF World Championships in New Zealand.
