IPSWICH men’s softball appears to be in safe hands.
The home team finished runners-up at the under-19 men’s state titles, which began on Friday and finished yesterday at Leichhardt.
Ipswich went confidently into yesterday afternoon’s final but couldn’t match tournament favourites and defending champions Redlands, losing a one-sided contest 9-1.
“It’s disappointing but I’m still happy making the final,†Ipswich coach Steve Muller said of his team’s successful campaign.
