Les Schwab edges JRW C’s

The first-half champions turned in a repeat performance to earn the overall adult fastpitch league championship Thursday night.
Les Schwab turned back a late rally from the JRW C Squad, winning 10-9 at Kiwanis Park, clinching the second-half title. Since Les Schwab was also the first-half winners, they clinched the league title.
Mark Seward hit a solo homer and drove in two runs, and Kevin Root added a two-run homer as Les Schwab built a 10-4 lead after five innings.
JRW rallied, including a four-run seventh, but fell short. Jason Scheibner had a two-run homer for JRW.
