Local Report — JRW C Squad rolls past Les Schwab
YAKIMA (WA) HERALD-REPUBLIC
Jason Grow went 2-for-2 with a three-run home run and finished with two runs scored and five RBI as the JRW C Squad routed Les Schwab 11-3 on Sunday in adult faspitch action at Kiwanis Field.
Don Cawthorn went 3-for-4 with three RBI for JRW and Jason Scheibner went 3-for-4 with two runs scored.
Kevin Root hit a two-run shot in the bottom of the first inning to give Les Schwab a 2-0 lead, but JRW responded with 11 runs during the next three innings.
Next up for the C Squad is the ASA C Class Nationals in Stockton, Calif., starting on Thursday. Also playing in the tournament will be league Most Valuable Pitcher Mark Seward, who recently was picked up by the Night Hawks of Seattle.
