Boatnik Tournament director Troy Terry offers one of the more unique settings for a fastpitch tournament, over the Memorial Day Weekend: Fastpitch and….boat races….and jet boat excursions. All at the river’s edge in scenic Grants Pass, Oregon, about an hour north of the California border. For those that don’t remember, it was a fixture in the late 1980’s. Magna Plating, one of the top “A” teams from So Cal was a regular for several years running. The Rounders’ Mitch Mendenhall was the Most Valuable Pitcher one year, in the days of his youth.
