Se fueron como grandes y regresaron como gigantes del deporte. Llenos de emoción, de alegría y con una copa que lleva grabado el nombre del país gracias a ellos. El seleccionado Albiceleste regresó a la capital nacional del softbol para ser recibido como lo merece: con aplausos, lágrimas, con un canto unificado que gritó con toda la voz un dale campeón lleno de desahogos y pasión por los bates.
Ayer, el equipo que logró adueñarse de la copa que organiza año a año el Congreso Internacional de Softbol (ISC según sus siglas en inglés), recibió una calurosa bienvenida por parte de un grupo de aficionados que observaron a 23 jugadores vestir los colores de Argentina y subirse a lo más alto del podio, en un evento reconocido por su nivel y trayectoria que, hasta esta edición, nunca había visto a una camiseta argentina dar la vuelta por sus bases.
Los chicos hicieron historia, se metieron en lo mejor del deporte internacional y marcaron un camino que tiene como línea de llegada el Campeonato Mundial Juvenil 2012, que se desarrollará en Paraná del 1 al 10 de noviembre. Allí, en el certamen más importante de la categoría, los Nacionales pondrán en juego lo vivido y de seguro, redoblarán la apuesta dejando en el camino a los 15 equipos participantes.“QUIERO LEVANTAR LA COPA DEL MUNDO”. El compañerismo del grupo fue fundamental, nos mantuvimos en equipo, alentando a todos y siempre que alguno se caía, el otro le daba un empujón para adelante y lo sacaba”.
Por otra parte, Lombardo expresó: “Estamos con el corazón contento y una sonrisa enorme. Alcanzamos el objetivo después de tanto trabajo y no podemos pedir más, vinimos con el primer puesto, invictos y con la copa en la mano”.
En cuanto al desarrollo del evento y sus dificultados, el capitán del equipo argentino destacó: “Nos enfrentamos en un top 10 con los mejores equipos del mundo, por eso para nosotros la experiencia es inmensa y la jugamos de igual a igual contra todos, aún sabiendo que la mayoría de ellos contaba con grandes jugadores de todas partes del mundo”.
En otro orden, el paranaense jugador de Don Bosco, se refirió a los instantes previos a la consagración del equipo y afirmó: “Sentimos mucha emoción y pensábamos que esto nos sirve para el futuro porque vivimos y jugamos este torneo como un Mundial sin perdonar nada y yendo para adelante en todo momento sin importar el rival”. – Hernán Scialacomo (papá de Giuliano Scialacomo):“Es un orgullo muy grande para nosotros recibir a los chicos después de que alcanzaran tamaño objetivo. Han trabajado mucho durante el transcurso de tres años y ahora se están viendo los resultados de tanto esfuerzo. Estamos muy orgullosos por todos”.
– Graciela García (mamá de Franco Gini): “Es un orgullo enorme lo que consiguieron. Para Franco fue su primera experiencia y su primera gira, lo extrañé mucho y estoy muy emocionada. La verdad es que la pasaron muy bien, fue una vivencia espectacular para ellos. Franco tiene 15 años recién y está empezando a vivir todo esto, aún le queda mucho camino por recorrer”.
– Enrique González (abuelo de Martín González): “Estoy muy orgulloso por el rendimiento del equipo durante todo el campeonato, jugaron muy bien y por eso estoy acá apoyando y muy emocionado. Intento seguir a mi nieto en todos los partidos, soy un seguidor de Martín y lo quiero con locura. Siempre le decía a él que por más que los rivales sean equipos fuertes y campeones, Argentina podía ganarle y lo hicieron”.La mirada de los lanzadores
Pablo Masmú, el paranaense jugador de la novena del Centro Provincial de Educación Física Número 5 (CPEF), fue destacado como pitcher más valioso de torneo y recibió un reconocimiento gracias a su buena labor dentro del círculo.
En diálogo con EL DIARIO expresó: “Estamos muy contentos porque dio resultado todo lo que hicimos y todo el trabajo se vio reflejado en la cancha. Fue tan maravilloso y lindo lo que vivimos que no existen palabras para describirlo, fue realmente hermoso”.
Además, aseguró: “No estábamos preparados para el recibimiento, sabíamos que iban a venir familiares pero no imaginamos que sería tanto y tan emotivo”. Por último resaltó: “Ahora tenemos que seguir entrenando, esto debe servirnos de experiencia para el futuro sin perder de vista el objetivo principal que es el Mundial”.
En tanto que Pablo Migliavacca jugador del Club Atlético Talleres de Paraná, se refirió al desarrollo del certamen y aseguró que: “Empezamos jugando contra los mejores del mundo y terminamos ganando el Sub 21, lo que se convierte en un envión anímico muy importante para nosotros teniendo en cuenta que falta tan poco para el Mundial”.
Mientras que, en cuanto al equipo destacó: “En la gira se notó que cuando uno fallaba el otro lo sostenía, esa fue la clave del éxito, la maduración del equipo”. Por último Migliavacca manifestó: “Quiero destacar que todo esto no hubiese sido posible sin el apoyo importante del Ente Nacional de Alto Rendimiento Deportivo (ENARD), que confió en nosotros y nos permitió realizar esta gira internacional”.
