Corona Fastpitch league
Saturday mornings, league starts February 14th, we play a 10 games plus playoffs for information please contact Ernie Marez 951-377-3364, elmarez25 [at] sbcglobal.net
Editor’s note: Ernie Marez, of course, is the host of the annual Raymond Angulo Memorial Tournament in August, a favorite “end of season” tournament for those of us here in Southern California. Corona CA is located about 45 miles inland, on the road from Long Beach to the Riverside/San Bernardino area. The notable thing about this league is the use of a somewhat softer ball than the KMaster and other harder balls. It cuts down on injuries, and is great for entry level and older players and pitchers, much the wooden bat leagues.
Five So Cal fastpitch leagues: We wrote the other day about the new fastpitch league starting up in the San Diego area. Burbank has a winter league on Wednesday nights. (cap tip Bob Otto) Montebello is also hosting a men’s fastpitch league on Thursday nights. These leagues offer an answer to the oft asked question, where do I find men’s fastpitch in Southern California? Added to the longtime mainstay, the SCIFL played in Santa Fe, Springs, there are now (at least) five leagues providing opportunities for men’s fastpitch teams and players. Know of any others? drop us an email here, jim [at] fastpitch

We still play in Santa Barbara on Wed. nights. Only 4 teams but we’re still alive, barely.
