[LANCASTER PA] – Sunday was a day Josh Johnson will remember forever as Johnson threw a no-hitter in USA Men’s National Team’s 2-0 victory over Bedford.
No Bedford batter was able to locate Johnson’s pitches during the game. Johnson threw a no-hitter, striking out 11 batters and walking five while recording his momentous feat. He got Bart F to strike out for the final out of the game.
Duane W ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
The game was never in doubt after the fourth, as USA Men’s National Team scored one run on an RBI single by Chase Turner.
