The Italian Athletic Club was a finalist in last year’s AAU Tournament, unbeaten through the playoff round, on the strength of pitching from Sean Whitten and Derek Mayson, and plenty of hitting to go with it. The team finished third however, leaving their money on the table, to catch flights home early and missed the championship game. They officially finished tied with the New York Gremlins.
