Update 6, Sunday, April 17, 2011
I made it to Kessler to see Hookie this afternoon. He looked great and was up and walking around. He told me he is hoping to go home by this weekend. The prayers and good wishes seem to be working because his recovery seems remarkable so far.

Latest Hookie update from Pukash- Good news. He is resting uncomfortably BUT he is on the mend. He’s trying to get up and leave which is a good sign. He needs a couple of more days in the icu before he gets his own room. They said he is progressing very well.

Update Monday evening, 7pm PST
Some encouraging news from Jeff’s teammates and friends Gregg Leather and Derek Pukash:
Jeff is sleeping a little and still wants to get up and leave. He goes in for surgery sometime between 9 and 10 tonight.
He’s way better today and the doctor said the CT looked good. They didn’t find anything to be worried about. According to the doctor he should hopefully be moved to a room tomorrow and out of ICU.
Our Earlier Post
Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Jeff Hook, of the New York Gremlins.
Jeff was involved in a terrible auto accident Sunday and is in a hospital in New Jersey.
From Derek Pukash:
He is in stable condition going to get a CT scan. They are putting a rod in his back tomorrow around 2pm. He’s in and out of consciousness but very responsive.
More details as we get them, but please keep Jeff in your prayers.
