We have changed the name of the page to reflect our mens league and the move to Odessa.
Next week we see the return of a familiar name in fastpitch circles. The Odessa A’s will be joining the Permian Basin Mens Fastpitch league!!!! We now have 5 pitchers throwing in league with less than a year under their belt. We are very proud of them and the progress they are making.
Our 2nd season in the Permian Basin Mens Fastpitch League is off and running. The West Texas Rebels won the first game 5-3 over the Angels. D&R Engine of Odessa took the 2nd game 15-1 behind the pitching of Ron Brem. Kudos to our young pitchers as dam, Nathan,Edward and Ron all threw well tonight and showed great progress from last year.

Midland and Odessa are rich in Fastpitch tradition. Although the game has disappeared in the last several years, the area has produced some of the best fastpitch players and teams that have ever played the game. Our job is to resurrect a once great game in the Permian Basin.General Information
The Permian Basin Mens Fastpitch league was started in 2010 with league play in Midland and Odessa. In 2011 we moved all league play to one night in Odessa. We are a member of the Odessa Softball Associaton and play on Wednesday nights from April to Octbober.Mission
We will be promoting the game of mens and boys fastpitch in the Midland/Odessa area. In addition we believe that the woodbat movement is the future of fastpitch and fastpitch in Midland and Odessa will be “All Wood, All the Time”

Wish the Permian area the best of success. Key to generating interesting might be to let people in the area know they are not alone. there are tournaments in El Paso, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio ever year. Bringing a team to compete would allow players to see the game is worth playing at a greater level and significant lengths of travel are not necessary to discover great competition.
