Champlin, MN native Tyler Bouley will be one of the catchers on the 2014 USA Jr. Men’s National Team that will compete in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada this summer at the ISF Jr. Men’s World Championship. Tyler, a 5’10, 220 pound left-handed power-hitter, will graduate this year from Champlin High School and Sage Academy, where as a Junior he was named the Offensive Player of the Year in baseball. When baseball was over though, he continued to shine on the softball field. And in 2013, he put together a season to remember.
In the past year, he was named to the NAFA “A” All World Team when he hit .667 for Morelli’s over the course of that event. Tyler was also a member of the County Materials Team that won the ASA 18U National Tournament and the Kegel All Stars that won the NAFA 23U World Tournament.
Tyler also plays with the Rice Lake Orangemen and Minnesota Computers. And to get a head start on 2014, later this month he will be traveling to Orlando, Florida to compete with the Minnesota Angels at the AAU Tournament.
When asked what it means to him to be a member of the 2014 Jr. Men’s National Team, Tyler said “Being able to wear USA across my chest is such a huge honor. It gives you a greater responsibility because you’re not only representing your team, you’re also representing your country”
