FRANKENMUTH – Tavistock, Ontario advanced thanks to a tie-breaker, but once they reached the championship round, the Athletics were unbeatable.
Tavistock beat fellow Ontario team Staffordville, 8-7, in nine innings to claim the International Softball Congress Under-19 Tournament Sunday in Frankenmuth.
Tavistock lost its first game of the tournament to Frankenmuth Up-To-Date Loggers, 6-3, but won two more divisional games, creating a three-way tie between Tavistock, Straffordville and the Loggers, all with 2-1 records. Frankenmuth also beat Richville, 10-3. Richville finished 0-3 in the Blue Division. Click here for the complete story at Mlive.com
