CLARIFICATION OF AAU MEMBERSHIP AND BACKGROUND CHECK REQUIREMENTS
The AAU Men’s International Fastpitch Championship to be held January 24-27, 2013 at Walt Disney World Resort’s ESPN Wide World of Sports does NOT require players and coaches to become AAU members. Background checks are NOT required. Given its international flavor and the uniqueness of this event, this tournament has always been handled differently than any other AAU-sanctioned event. Nothing has changed from the previous years’ tournaments.
It has always been a requirement for AAU events that each participant become a member of the AAU to ensure the event is properly insured. The AAU Men’s International Fastpitch Championship each year is an anomaly and is insured through different means.

NOTA ACLARATORIA SOBRE LA MEMBRESIA DE AAU Y REQUISITO DE VERIFICACION DE ANTECEDENTES
Parece haber cierta desinformación acerca de los requisitos para el próximo torneo de Men’s Fastpitch de la AAU. El Campeonato Internacional de Men’s Fastpitch que se celebrará del 24-27 de enero del 2013 en el ESPN Wide World of Sports de Walt Disney World Resort NO requiere que los jugadores y entrenadores tengan membresía de la AAU. Por consiguiente, la verificación de antecedentes NO es requerida. Dado al sabor internacional y la singularidad de este evento, el torneo ha sido siempre organizado de manera diferente a cualquier otro evento sancionado por AAU. Nada ha cambiado desde los torneos de los años anteriores. Siempre ha sido un requisito para los eventos de la AAU que cada participante sea miembro de la AAU para garantizar que el evento est á debidamente asegurado. El Campeonato Internacional de Men’s Fastpitch de la AAU al cada año es único y est á asegurado de manera diferente.
