As of now there are only two ASA tournaments scheduled in Northern Calif with a third likely. In the “C” division teams from Greater San Joaquin, Northern California, Oakland, Sacramento, and San Francisco must play in at least one (1) these tournaments in order to qualify for the ASA “C” Nationals in Salem Oregon this year.
The tournaments are:
June 15th in Citrus Heights CA
August 3-4 in Hayward, CA
and a third date in either Hayward or Salinas is likely.If enough teams express interest in the Citrus Heights tournament early enough then the second day will be added. So if you are a C team from one of those 5 areas you may want to contact the tournament directors as soon as possible to let them know you are interested. I am running the one in Citrus Heights. My cell phone is 916-214-1374. Our tournament is sponsored by the Roseville Fraternal Order of Eagles. If we have a two day event they will provide a free pasta feed to the players and their families at the Eagles hall (which has a great bar) on Saturday night. Regardless if it’s a one day or two day event, the Eagles will provide free hot dogs, chips and sodas to the players and their families at the ball park.
