It was an amazing ten days, eh? A tournament that captivated the attention of the world, the crowning of a new (though familiar) champion in front of the home town crowd. A tournament with a seemingly endless supply of riveting games, upsets and dramatic moments.
To Auckland, we bid you farewell — for now — and say thank you to all involved in planning, organizing and putting on one of the greatest fastball events ever. A special thanks to Louise Jones and SkyTV sports who brought the games into our living rooms, our offices and to our cell phones on streaming live video, and Softball New Zealand for the top notch online scoreboards detailing every pitch. Thanks to you, we were all in Auckland.
