Congratulations to the Scarborough Force, back-to-back Champions of 2013 ISC Canada East Qualifier Tournament, held this past weekend in Tavistock.
The Force will receive a paid berth plus travel money for the 2013 ISC World Tournament to be held in Moline, IL (Quad Cities) from August 10-17. Also receiving berths are Elmira Expos, Kitchener Outlaws, and Lake Simcoe Lightning.
It was a very competitive tournament and we want to thank all 12 teams that participated.
On behalf of Kyle Smith, Blair Setford and myself, I would like to thank everyone that made this tournament a great success: our hosts, Brad Thomson and the Kitchener Cubs in partnerships with Dave Bailey and the Tavistock Minor Softball Program, all performed above the norm.
The Blue Crew lead by Trevor Topping from Kitchener, ISC game controllers Doug and Chris Bach, Dennis Dosman, who did another great job scheduling Scorekeepers and Announcers, who were all very professional, the Grounds Crew who kept both Optimist and Queens Diamonds both in pristine shape, even when Mother Nature threw us a curve ball on Sunday morning, we were back up and
running with just a short two hour delay. The parks cleanliness was noticed by all too as the garbage cans were emptied on a timely basis.
The new Park Pavilion & the Scorers Booth at Queens Parks is something that the citizens of Tavistock can be extremely proud of and can be shared for many decades going ahead.
Lastly thank you to the fans including grandmothers, mothers, wives and girlfriends for letting their partners in life share their Fathers Day Weekend with us It is greatly appreciated.
