USA Softball Junior Men’s National Team open with two wins in the Michigan Cornfest tournament Friday night. The junior team is holding a training camp in Midland MI and has divided into two teams.
USA Red won 7-1 behind the pitching of Philip Zimmerman (PA) and the clutch hitting of Steven Nessler (MN).
USA Blue won 9-2 in a six inning outing. Zane Chason (GA) picked up the win with relief help from Colin Hopkins (IL)
Jimbo Pernetti lead the offense with 2 triples and 3 rbi’s
Both teams are in action again on Saturday at 12:30 and 5:45
