The Fastpitch community recently lost Tim Hunt to an ATV accident. Tim Hunt played for Team Rainey, California LumberKings and most recently Portland Brewers at the ISC level. As most of you know Tim played for many year’s in California and he became a part of the California LumberKings family in 2007. Tim helped the LumberKings to a 2nd place finish at the 2007 ISCII Tournament of Champions. The LumberKings transitioned to the California A’s in 2009. Even though Tim moved on to play for the Portland Brewers, he was still a part of the California A’s family. With the permission of Tim’s dad and brother, Bob and Chris Hunt, the California A’s are pleased to announce that the California Classic trophy will now be called the Tim Hunt Memorial Trophy.

The 2014 Cal Classic will be held on June 28-29, 2014 at the Sportsplex in Santee, CA, with selected games broadcast live on Ballpark Radio.
