Editor’s note: We gathered the information below as best we could, but missing winning and losing pitcher information for many of the games. With broadcast duties, I couldn’t get to many of the other games. On another note, for those who emailed us about the difficulty hearing the Ballpark Radio broadcasts over the loud music being played at the complex, we apologize. We asked them to turn it off more times than I can count, but got no cooperation from the Sportsplex employee that they left in charge. Ballpark Radio will not be returning to the Sportsplex. Very disappointing, especially considering the amount of money that the A’s pay to hold the tournament in that complex.
A note of thanks to assistant Team USA coach Greg Hicks for his work all weekend with the broadcasts. Greg not only joined me in the booth for all four broadcasts, but helped with the set-up and logistics required for the broadcasts.
Lastly, a tip of the cap and thank you to Denny Bruckert, Team USA head coach, who sat in for most of the Sunday morning broadcast. Good to see Denny racking up the frequent flier miles in review of and search for talent for the USA National team.
