Tony Mancha came up big again today. After striking out 18 yesterday in a touch 2-1 loss to Mexico, he came on in the 8th in relief of Josh Johnson who threw 7 shutout innings, got a strikeout to quell a 2nd and 3rd rally for Venezuela after they tied the game at 1, then delivered the game winning hit, a line drive single to center in the 8th for the win. A 1-2-3 ninth for Mancha sealed the win.

USA will face Cuba on Sunday in their third game. They are 1-1, while Canada is 2-0, and will face Venezuela on Sunday.
