Five teams will compete in the double round robin tournament. Defending champions NSW have won Nox Bailey Shield a record 10 times. Qld was the last State to repeat as champions with wins in 2012 and 2013. Tas enters the tournament as the only participating State to have not yet won a Nox Bailey Shield. The remaining teams are ACT and Vic. Play starts today with five games including Vic taking on the ACT in the tournament opener.
The tournament decider will be played on Saturday 10 January with a 2:00pm first pitch at the Blacktown International Sportspark.
Softball Australia thanks the Australian Sports Commission, Easton and Greatrex for their continued support of this tournament and softball in Australia.
